'Thanks' Doesn't Cut It

My dear, dear family (I say 'family' because you are all, friends and family alike, my family now.) I read every email through tears of gratitude for the support and advice you are passing along. Every single message helps me sort through all the jumble of feelings. Thank you, thank you, thank you... The words just don't seem adequate enough.

Steph,
This is Sandra's little sister, Beth, checking in here. I'm so very, very sorry for what you're all going through right now. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and sorrow you must be feeling. I'm just glad that Sandra is able to be there to hold her best friend's hand, & yours, as well. Please give her a big hug from me, then ask her to give you one back. Please know that you're all in my thoughts & prayers, & have been from the start of this ordeal.

Love,
Beth Jinks

Steph (Tepi),

I have just laughed and cried my way through your circus. You are priceless my friend. I can't imagine a more inspirational and fearless ring master than you. One occupation that you didn't mention ever having was that of an "author." You are a splendid writer, able to convey with warmth, humor and sensitivity all the ups and downs under the big top. Steph, I am pulling for you and your Mom. You and your Mom have always had this incredible connection. Your stupid disease enables you to do more than just sympathesize. Crazy things do happen, don't they. Life is a Circus! I know you are tired. Keep pushing back. I haven't seen you in so long, but I can tell from your writing that you have not changed so much- you are still as spirited and determined as ever! It draws people to you. Your light shines brighter than ever Steph! Thank you for the inspiration. You are in my prayers! Love, Susan (Sudie)
